Love Jesus by Serving Others

Pastor Doril Green & Lady Pamzell Green

New Life Pentecostal Church was founded by Reverend and Mrs. Doril Green in 1983 with their four young children Sheril, Alrick, Rohan and Claudia, who actively worked in the ministry at a very early age. Reverend Green’s desire was to see people find their way to the saving grace of Jesus Christ in the community of Downsview, Ontario. With the blessings of their pastor, the late Rev. B. J. Church and with the support of the late Rev. F. W. McKenzie, NLPC was birthed in the Oakdale Junior High School Auditorium. There were approximately 50 people in attendance during the first service on Sunday, May 3rd, 1983.

The fire of Pentecost swept through the auditorium every Sunday morning. People from the community were baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Spirit, just like the day of Pentecost. We invite you to join one of our services and experience Jesus and the power of his Spirit.

It is the mission of New Life Pentecostal Church “to reach the people of the community in order to teach, equip and develop a generation of respectful people sincerely dedicated to the service of the Lord."

Our Values

We are an Apostolic Pentecostal church that believes every word in the Bible. Following the example of Jesus Christ, we care about you no matter your age, culture, or background. Everyone is welcome here to receive healing, teaching, or simply a touch from God.

It is our purpose to obey God’s Word to seek and to save the lost. We firmly believe that the Savior Jesus Christ shed His blood to save every person, and every individual is worth saving.

We live every day striving to be led by the Spirit of God in any event or decision that we make. We understand that He is the giver of salvation and that His purpose is the only one that matters.

We value the Word of God as the absolute source of truth that is able to save us, empower us and transform us completely.

Our Beliefs

Our faith is based solely on the Word of God, and not on man-made beliefs. We believe that every practice we teach must be backed up by the Bible. You are welcome to contact us with any questions not answered in the following topics.

There is one true, living God, and His name is Jesus. He has revealed himself as the Father in creation, manifested as the son Jesus Christ for redemption. The life of Christ continues as the Holy Spirit indwelling in every believer.

We affirm that the Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God, the final and ultimate authority. The source of all doctrine, instruction, correction and reproof. It contains all that is needed for guidance in godliness, even for our practical life, but most of all the blue print for our eternal salvation.

Salvation is a free gift of God, paid by our Savior Jesus Christ with the price of His blood shed on calvary's cross. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, because Jesus died, was buried and rose from the grave, all who believe and obey the gospel shall be saved. Salvation is faith in Jesus, repentance of our sins, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. We must be born again to see and enter in the Kingdom of God.

Is offered to all who have repented of their sins as stated in the book of Acts. Baptism is the complete immersion in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins. This symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sin is buried in the water of baptism and one rises to walk in a new life!

Acts 2:38 is a fulfillment of the two “new births” requirements Jesus mentioned in John 3:5 that was necessary to enter the kingdom of God. The first one is baptism in Jesus name and second is the spirit birth, which is infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct experience from water baptism.

This is a covenant relationship between a man and a woman, which signifies that covenant relationship between Christ-Jesus and the church in Ephesians 5:25 that states, “Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church.”

Final judgment is coming in which the dead will be resurrected and judged according to their works. Everyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. Those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life shall forever be with the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.
